STRESSING FOR A BLESSING

EVERYDAY

Everyday, life changes for us all.  At times we have good moments and then unfortunately,  we have bad moments. As we live our lives, we worry about so much that goes on in our personal life, that we hardly stop and take the time, to reflect on exactly how it is affecting our body. All in all, STRESS is known to be a “silent killer” and it affects our overall health in both the mind and body

CAUSE AND AFFECT

Too much stress could result in physical problems, such as:

  1. Heart Disease
  2. Chest Pain
  3. High Blood Pressure
  4. Irregular Heartbeat
  5. Modifies the Blood Sugar Levels, resulting in fatigue
  6. Mood Swings
  7. Metabolic Syndrome, the main risk element of diabetes and heart attack

REST THE STRESS

Ironically, some stress can be a good thing for your body, but if you do not give yourself a break once in a while, your own body will force itself to take a break. Stress is considered a part of the evolutionary drive as it enables humans to survive. Stress sometimes increases the awareness of a person and improves their physical performance. However, we must take the proper actions to alleviate the unnecessary stress that can be harmful to us.

  1. WRITE
  2. LET YOUR FEELINGS OUT
  3. DO SOMETHING YOU ENJOY
  4. FOCUS ON THE PRESENT
  5. EXCERCISE
  6. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE

BEAT THE HEAT

WHETHER THE WEATHER

For years, many of us have been dealing with the unpredictable weather in Texas. Hot one minute, cold the next. One gruesome fact about the Texas weather, is how hot the temperature gets in this beautiful great state. The only basic solution to keep cool, is to use the air conditioner. Well, unfortunately in the real world that comes with a price. Whether your at home, in your car, at work, or riding a bike, all of these things cost money to do so. Also, depending on exactly what you’re doing, it can get pricey. So, this blog has a few ideas on how to keep cool and beat the heat for a fraction of the price.

WAYS TO STAY COOL

PEPPERMINT TEA SPRAY

First off, you want to brew a pot of peppermint tea, then stick it in the fridge. Once it’s nice and cold, pour some into a spray bottle and misting yourself with it. Better than water, the menthol in the tea will give your skin a tingly, cool feeling. Not to mention, Peppermint Tea has many health benefits as well.

Here are other surprising uses for tea you probably haven’t tried.

CHRYSANTHEMUM TEA

Chrysanthemum tea is served to lower body temperature. It is also can be used to soothe a heat rash, according to Natural Health.

DIY AIR-CONDITIONING

It may seem funny or a bit weird, but by freezing a couple of water bottles and simply place them in front of a fan, and then you will feel a far more cooler breeze. Also, if you add salt to the water first, it will stay frozen longer, according to Wikihow.com

EAT SPICY FOODS

When you think about sweat, you normally tend to think about work or working out. However, eating spicy food increases blood circulation and causes you to sweat. As the sweat dries, you will begin to feel cooler. The capsaicin in hot peppers signals your body to sweat more without raising your body temperature.

THE MELTDOWN

There are many ways to keep cool. Some are more effective than others such as a shower or going swimming, which is why you just have to go with what works best for you. However, if you are on a budget and/or in a dire need of staying cool, then you might want to give any of these natural tricks a try in order to beat the heat.

Immigration and Deportation

The Message

Well, I’m sure we have all heard and read about the current situations with immigration and deportation here in the United States. Do you know what the process is and how the government handles these cases? Are you or a loved one facing deportation? Honestly, to actually be in this scenario must be very freighting.

images

The fact that you have been working in this country for so long and have established a life here in the United States, just as any other person that calls themselves an American, can one day soon be deported and taken away from your family at any given moment, despite your accomplishments, assets, no criminal history and family being born here in the US. That can be a real life horror for any family, at any given time.

What will you do if you or a loved one falls victim to these laws that are being changed due to the new presidency?

The Resources

Here listed, are links to immigration attorneys, rights coalitions, and other helpful resources that can fight for your rights even when you feel like you have none left.

The Conclusion

President Donald trump plans to immediately deport 2 to 3 million immigrants immediately in 2017, regardless of no criminal history or background.

The United States is changing drastically and quickly under the new presidency. Tension is up at an all time high, due to the change in deportation and immigration laws. It’s breaking families apart, putting them more in a financial deficit, and also it’s ruining the future of many innocent children. Each citizen should brace themselves on what is ahead for the future of this country, whether you are here illegally or not.

If you know someone that can benefit from any of this info, please feel free to share it with them.
